Update Log – 6/13/15

It’s that time of year – 50-50 time! 50-50 is an annual juried art show put together by the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, CA. Ever year, 70 artists each make 50 6x6in works of art in a chosen theme and medium in the same number of days. The works are displayed in grids (7×7 with one on the side), side by side, throughout the gallery. There’s nothing quite like a 50-50 show, with grid after grid after grid all down the walls, each with a different look and feel.

Why am I talking about this on my Ilion site? Because my theme is alien landscapes (“In Other Worlds”) which naturally has a lot of Ilion potential. So I’m turning about half of them into Helen of Troy pieces.

Two birds with one stone!

In Exploratory Missions, I updated the Beagle probe destinations and made a new map of manned missions. There goes the last of that ugly MS Paint map I was using earlier. There are a lot more maps to come, which is why I have joined the Cartographer’s Guild forum to learn more about, well, cartography.

Much better.
